Safety Edges

Safety Edges, safety contacts or rib edges as commonly known are used to guard against possible crushing or shearing points on electric gates and barriers. They can be used on sliding and swing gates at any point where movement and the risk of crushing needs to be addressed. When installing gate or door automation equipment, it is imperative that you comply to the safety standards as outlined in BS-EN12453.
